Dear Brandon,
I am writing because I thought you might be interested in a holiday card program that I am involved with. I am working with Pitney Bowes, who recently launched the 2010 “Holiday Mail for Heroes” campaign with the American Red Cross. This is the fourth year of the campaign. During the first three years of the program, three million cards were distributed to military men and women, their families and veterans. The goal of the campaign this year is to receive one million cards for American service men and women in the U.S. and around the world to help bring a touch of home to them this holiday season.
Please take a moment to review the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign at http://www.redcross.org/holidaymail. Additional information about the campaign can be found at http://redcrosschat.org/2010/10/26/holiday-mail-for-heroes-2010/. Would you be willing to help me spread the word about this campaign? Please let me know if you need any additional information about the campaign. A link or any other mention on your site would also be much appreciated as we are excited about the prospect of meeting our million letter goal.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Regards,

This blog is just various emails that have been sent to me, guest posts, requests to be posted, or just some random posts from myself. I couldn't easily fit them into my main blog or my website, so I created this blog exclusively for this content.

HBO Documentaries Presents WARTORN 1861-2010
Hi Brandon,
I was looking at your site recently and based on your content I thought you might be interested in HBO’s upcoming documentary called WARTORN 1861-2010 from executive producer James Gandolfini, which premieres this Veterans Day, November 11th at 9pm on HBO.
Civil War doctors called it hysteria, melancholia and insanity. During the First World War it was known as shell-shock. By World War II, it became combat fatigue. Today, it is clinically known as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a crippling anxiety that results from exposure to life-threatening situations such as combat.
With suicide rates among active military servicemen and veterans currently on the rise, the HBO special WARTORN 1861-2010 brings urgent attention to the invisible wounds of war. Drawing on personal stories of American soldiers whose lives and psyches were torn asunder by the horrors of battle and PTSD, the documentary chronicles the lingering effects of combat stress and post-traumatic stress on military personnel and their families throughout American history, from the Civil War through today’s conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The HBO Documentary Films presentation debuts on Veterans Day, THURSDAY, NOV. 11 (9:00-10:15 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
We have movie stills, key art, trailer, press release for you to share with your readers.

Christmas Program for Military
Hey there Brandon,
I hope all is well with you.
I was checking out your blog and after looking around a bit, I thought that both you and your readers would be interested in Christmas Decor’s Decorated Family program. I don’t know if you are familiar with the program, but it has been going on for a few years now.
For the past seven years, Christmas Decor has been decorating the homes of military families during the holiday season as a way of saying ‘thanks’ for all that they do for the US.
We would love it if you could help get word out about this awesome program to your readers. In order to nominate a family, visit our Facebook page and download the nomination form. Christmas Decor has decorated the homes of hundreds of military families across America - families who have a soldier serving overseas - in order to thank them for their sacrifice and to help brighten their holiday season.
Decorated Family has brought so much joy over the years to the soldiers, their spouses, parents, grandparents and children as well as the Christmas Decor franchisees that donate their products and time to create a warm and celebratory holiday display at each home and 2010 is no exception.
If at all possible, could you please post the following information about decorated family including the link below. This would help us get the word out about this wonderful program which honors the men and women who serve our country!

First Post: About This Blog
After having my website up for a while with my army basic training experiences and my AIT experiences, then continuing to journal my everyday experiences...I've received various requests to post items, advertise things for free, or even press releases. A lot of the stuff will not fit my current blog, so I figured I would create a new blog just for this type of stuff. This way I feel like I'm not ignoring these folks and can do my part to help spread their wishes. I will also add my own inputs on various army or military related topics I come across from time to time.
